For our second day in Japan, we headed to Yokohama, then on to Toyko to connect with Andrew Shuttleworth, a friend who lived in the area.
Inside the train, it's rather quiet, and a bit like a plane - there's a tray-table in front of you, bathrooms, and a train attendant who comes by with a cart selling food and drinks. Quite lovely - but no WiFi access.
