At around 8:30 pm on June 5th, there was a fierce storm in Calgary, Alberta, with massive lightning strikes. One of those lightning strikes hit a home four houses down from mine, and it blasted a hole in the roof and caught fire. These are some pictures of the house, the fire fighters that responded, and the flooding in the green space behind our house. I took a short video clip of what the fire looked like from my back yard from about 300 feet away that you can check out on YouTube. Elsewhere in the city, flooding of all kind was occurring - I've added a few photos I received from others that shows some of the problems.
